The UK was once a major manufacturing nation, and as with most things we were once world-renound for our politicians encouraged them to move their production abroad, by creating conditions where a business cannot trade anymore - high energy costs, high transport costs, piles of red tape, high taxation, the list goes on. Of the very few manufacturing companies still trading in the UK, most are actually foreign owned.

To help put us back in the top spot of technological advancement we will build technology centres that encourage innovation and advancement of all aspects of life. State owned data-centres will be placed at stretegic locations withing the British isles where their services will best serve the people of the UK. Essential manufacturing will never be foreign owned again. Taxation will be reviewed, and a business freindly environment will be encouraged.

Currently foreign tech companies are free to sell their products in the UK, but pay no tax here - this will stop! All foreign owned businesses will pay UK tax at source, or they do not trade here at all. All tariffs will be reciprocal - no matter who the trading partner. Eventually this will lead to tariff free trading - if not then we will just make or supply that service ourselves.
