The Utility Services of the UK were privatised and sold off for no reason other than for some people (politicians mostly) to make huge financial gain at vast expense to the people of the UK of GB! The original sales pitch was that the sell off would encourage huge investment into the utilities - instead it's just given us a third-world system that's crumbling more and more as the years go by. Despite being told we need more resovoirs successive governments have ignored that advice and being content with the money they get from their shares. And to cap it all off our utilities are now actually all foreign owned, where their own demestic customers are paying a lot less than what we do, due to us subsidising their bills.

Now, years later the whole network is failing, can't keep up with demand, and has been left to fail with huge quantites of raw sewage just being dumped into our rivers at great cost to our health and the health of the wildlife that needs those waterways for survival. Huge profits have been given to investers rather than being put back into the network. We will change this. We will create a British based publicly owned and run utilities company once again whose focus will be on efficiency, customer service and a more reliable network - essential for the planned growth in industry.
